No. NeoGen does not require medical oversight or specific licensing to operate. Practitioners must work within their scope of practice, but the device itself does not carry the licensing requirements associated with CO2 and some ablative laser systems.
Yes. NeoGen treats the full periorbital area, including upper and lower eyelids, inside the orbital rim. Intraocular shields are not required. This is a significant differentiator from most laser platforms, which cannot safely treat inside the orbital rim.
Yes. NeoGen is not chromophore-dependent, which means it does not rely on melanin or other pigments in the skin to generate heat. This makes it safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types, including darker skin tones, which are at higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation with light-based treatments. Beyond device-specific consumables, you’ll use standard treatment-room supplies in your normal clinic workflow. There are no ongoing consumable costs beyond tips and your usual clinic materials.
Yes. Other treatments can be used before NeoGen as part of a skin preparation protocol to optimise the treatment area. LED therapy (such as the OptiGlow LED) may also support recovery between NeoGen sessions by reducing inflammation and promoting healing. Your clinical educator will cover recommended combination protocols during your training, including sequencing and appropriate intervals between treatments.
